I finally got a package today that includes my Windows XP RC1 beta in it! It came in a nice DVD case and they even gave me a decal.  I am not going to install it till thursday though, cause that is when I am getting cable modem(finally came to my area). I hope Windows XP is as good as they say it is.

Hooray! That means I'll be getting mine soon too (well, my family back home in KC will get it, at any rate). I probably won't get to play with it for another few weeks, so you'll have to tell me how good it is compared to Beta 2. I kept hearing that it shipped on July 2, and I was mad that I didn't get it yet, till I figured out 7/2 was for downloaders and that the actual CDs weren't shipping till July 19. ---Skorpion

Ok I will report back as soon as I install it, and see if they have fixed some of the bugs that where in beta 2. And also you have to download RC2. They do not ship that on cd.

Yeah, I knew that. By the time RC2 comes out, I'll be at college with a wonderful pretty T3 connection, and downloading it will only take about as much time as it takes to cook a pizza... /me will be happy! ---Skorpion

College you say? Skorpion you are growing up so fast.  I successfully installed windows xp on my machine, it work really smooth much better then windows me and windows xp beta 2. No bugs that I can see so far.

me sucks i would hope XP was better, i still like 2k and i dont thinkill be updateing it until i have to :), my area sucks theres cable about a half a mile every directiong around me but im stuck in the middel

Windows XP is way better then crashing Windows ME. If you have Windows 2k, Windows XP is pretty much a big face lift to that. XP has some pretty awsome control panel features too. Like MM said XP is really nice.
